In 2011, I left my home in Brooklyn, NY for college upstate. It was my first time away from my family and friends, most of who spread out across NYC and beyond. I found myself a bit homesick, so I decided to do some digital art for my hometown friends.
I drew us as a group of zombie survivors in the neighborhood where we all met. It allowed me to combine my love for my friends and my city and I liked exploring themes about the power and unity of everyday people supporting each other in difficult times.
So five years later in March 2016, my friends and I began officially developing Battle of the Boros, a team-based RPG set in demon-controlled NYC, The game explores themes of friendship, respect, and the truly New York talent of learning to live with one another.
